All titles and content revealed by Bandai Namco at Gamescom
During Gamescom, Bandai Namco revealed quite a few titles that are currently in the making. The publisher announced Little Nightmares II, sequel to the beloved puzzle-platformer horror game. The game features Mono – a new playable character – as well as Six, whose yellow raincoat has become an iconic outfit.
They also shared that the entire Cell Saga is included in the highly anticipated 2020 game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Hardcore fans as well as newcomers to the franchise will be able to experience the Cell Saga, and fight as characters such as Goku, Vegeta and Gohan.
The Code Vein demo is set to release on September 3 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In this demo, players will be able to create their own character and get a taste of the first part of “The Depths”, a dungeon that is challenging to any Revenant. The game itself releases September 27 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
A first gameplay trailer for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 was also shown, and it’s immediately noticeable that a brand new game engine was used. The game tells the original story of the Straw Hat Crew – including the most recent Whole Cake Island arc. Six new playable characters were revealed as well: Jimbei, Sanji Vinsmoke, Ichiji Vinsmoke, Niji Vinsmoke, Yonji Vinsmoke, and Reiju Vinsmoke.
A new trailer for The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan was released as well. This trailer teases the urban legends that are behind every part of the anthology. Man of Medan is based on that of the SS Urang Medan, and its terrifying story.
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows also received a new gameplay trailer, in which the game’s Free Battle Mode is highlighted. The goal of this mode, in which teams of maximum 3 characters fight each other, is to defeat every opponent while using the right character at the right time. Players who want to enjoy Saitama’s powers have to be patient to do so. The Hero Arrival System makes sure that players have to meet a few criteria before being able to play as the strongest character in the game.
Creative fans of Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris will be over the moon to find out that four of the game’s outfits are going to be fan-made. In each region, a winner is chosen – and that person’s outfit for Kirito or Alice will be featured in the upcoming title. More information concerning the contest can be found on the official site.
Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist is confirmed to release on November 15 on PlayStation 4 and PC. It is the first game of the franchise – which is based on the popular horror-manga – to be released in western countries.
